- ACT Pistol Association (ACTPA) is the peak association in the ACT for the sport of competition target pistol shooting.
- ACTPA is affiliated with Target Pistol Australia (TPA) which is a member body of Shooting Australia (SA) that is recognised by the Australian Sports Commission as the National Sports Organisation (NSO) for Shooting in Australia.
- It is through these affiliations/pathways that ACTPA has access to International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), World Association 1500 (WA1500), Action Match and
International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union (IMSSU) shooting events worldwide. It is only through this pathway that shooters can be selected for membership in the Australia Teams to Olympic and Commonwealth Games, ISSF World Championships and World Cups and WA1500 and IMSSU World Championships and World Cups.
